
Spiritbound: Cannonball

A ritual gone wrong has bound a witch’s spirit to her cat familiar. Finding themselves stuck in Limbo - a shifting realm containing lost souls - they must work together to find a way out. In Spiritbound: Cannonball, you’ll help this duo through various hazards in Limbo, recover lost memories, and cannonball yourself back to the mortal world.
Gameplay
Each level in Spiritbound: Cannonball has a simple goal: reach the ritual magic circle at the end of the level. On your journey, you’ll encounter hazards, find checkpoints, bounce past (or through) enemies, and find rare artifacts to help the Witch regain her memories and you uncover the story.
Controls
Your main method of movement is the cannonball launch. To perform a launch, simply press and hold on the Witch and her cat - and then drag back to aim your slingshot and control its power. When you’re ready, just let go and blast off!
You can also reposition to find the perfect angle for a cannonball launch by utilizing the left and right arrows in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Utilize the Choas burst mechanic to deal with pesky enemies or to land some difficult shots.

Hi there. I just tried out the game for a while. And felt it was very fun playing through it.
One thing I noticed immediately was the art style for the characters (and later the enemies in the game as well) and how well it was made.
I really liked the way a mechanic and/or quirk in the game, such as the throwing mechanic and the mushroom fields, is explained throughout the levels while keeping it nice and simple for the player.
I did run into a few bumps and difficulties throughout the levels due to the cat rolling too far away sometimes, but that could just be me being bad at predicting where the throw might land sometimes.
Overall, I had a very fun experience playing the game (even though I failed most of the jumps) and would love to see the game possibly develop further in the near future.
iPhone user here, but wanted to try out the game to see what it was like so used Bluestacks to emulate a OnePlus 10. The game ran flawlessly.
I was quite impressed actually for a school project & can see a lot of potential here. I really like the animations, and the artwork is fantastic. I personally didn't have any issues playing the game & I paid attention during the opening of each level so I knew where to go. That was a nice little addition.
The sound/music is fine and compliments the game nicely. I like the checkpoint system as well even if I didn't need it much. I felt the game offered a decent enough explanation in this state on everything, such as how to exit a level, how to throw the cat ball, and how the dreamcatchers worked also. Wisps were a great way at encouraging the player to explore & try t o go for those "hard to reach areas" as these are needed to buy stuff from the shop.
Nice little extras as well adding the credits and artwork for me to look through as I do like to see all of the hard work people have put into it. I'm sure with more polish it can round over those rough edges, but I think it works well regardless.
Great effort from everyone involved and I will keep my eye on the project for more updates.
Hii, I tried the game and here is some feedback:
- Don't include test areas in the build.
- I can't see where I need to go, this forces me to throw and die a lot.
- The car has very little resistance, I'm having trouble on the second level because it just keep rolling and goes past the hole.
- Starting a throw feels very unresponsive, the throw indicator should come up instantly imo. Sometimes the animation also just freezes.
- The art looks amazing and is really well done!
